NON-FACE-TO-FACE OPTIONS FOR CONDUCTING LOGAN COUNTY BUSINESS

With the Courthouse being closed to the public as a precaution until at least Thursday, April 30 in attempt to reduce public contact and protect our Logan County Citizens of the possible spread of COVID-19.

The Logan County Clerk & Recorder's office is urging residents to use online services, over the phone, by email, or utilizing the Drop Box located in the south side of the courthouse parking lot.

We will be staffing our phone lines and email and do our best to respond in a timely fashion. Although closed to the public, Clerks will be working normal hours of operation 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday

Motor Vehicle:

 Most services are available online at www.mydmv.colorado.gov:

  • vehicle registration / tag renewals (even when expired or in the grace month),
  • duplicate registration or
  • title requests,
  • address changes,
  • disability parking,
  • tab replacements
  • and more.

If you are in doubt or have any issue renewing online, call our office: 970-522-1158.  There may be ways staff can help or ways to complete a transaction over the phone or via email; baconp@logancountyco.gov

Private party sales (person to person vehicle sales).

  • call first to verify you have all the necessary paperwork.
  • Place title properly signed off and on by the buyer,
  • copy of buyer ID,
  • Copy of Insurance,
  • and check payment in the 24/7 Drive up Drop box located on the south side parking lot of the Courthouse.   

Vehicle Title name / ownership changes.

  • Please call first to verify all necessary paperwork.

Special Mobile Machinery (SMM) registration

  • Please call first to verify all necessary paperwork.

Temp Tags

  • email or place in an envelope bill of sale or title work properly assigned
  • copy of valid insurance for that vehicle
  • copy of ID
  • contact information
  • we can issue temp tag over the phone with proper payment. 
  • Temp Tag will be mailed to customer.

Duplicate titles

  • can be done on line or
  • we can email a form filled out
  • and with proper payment
  • contact information
  • placed in an envelope the 24/7 Drive up box located on the south side parking lot of the Courthouse

Recording:

  • Logan County office will issue marriage licenses, please call for information 970-522-1544 on the process. 
  • All other recording services, such as recording a document, searching records, etc. will be handled over the phone, by mail or by 24/7 Drive up Drop box located on the south side parking lot of the Courthouse.

Elections:
