Planning & Zoning Technician

Logan County is seeking a full time individual to Performs a variety of working level routine administrative and complex clerical duties as needed to expedite the administrative, technical or clerical functions of the Planning Department, including planning, zoning and building.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1.  High school diploma or GED equivalent; plus, one (1) year of specialized training related to above duties.

AND

  1. Four (4) years of responsible experience in administrative duties, drafting, word processing or some other related field;

OR

  1. An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special Qualification:

Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in keyboard operations.

Human Services Specialist-Legal Child Support
Logan County Department of Human Services

Full Time position responsible for overseeing a large caseload.  Performs a variety of entry level, complex clerical duties as needed to expedite the processing of applications, determination of paternity, establishment and enforcement of child support and medical support orders; modification of child support orders and the delivery of human service assistance. Performs analysis of legal actions either existing or required.  Monitors court orders and conducts follow up to ensure or promote compliance including providing court testimony.  Problem solves throughout history of case from birth through emancipation. Works closely with other assistance programs, custodial and non custodial parents, employers, courts, attorneys and other entities.  Performs calculations and accounting functions necessary to determine child support orders, modification of orders, balances owed and arrears payments.  May be assigned as support staff to one or more specialty programs; i.e., Assistance Programs, or Self-Sufficiency.

Requires:   HS diploma/GED; plus one (1) year of specialized training provided through in-service, professional workshops, seminars, etc;

FBI/CBI background check and program certification will be required. 

AND

            Two (2) years of experience performing above or related duties;

OR

            Equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Entry Hourly Wage:  $16.0099 per hour plus benefits

Road and Bridge Heavy Equipment Operator I

Logan County is seeking an individual to perform working level skilled tasks in the operation and maintenance of light to heavy duty equipment as needed to construct, maintain or repair county roads and service systems. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

AND

  • Two (2) years of experience in operation and maintenance of medium and heavy sized equipment;

OR

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special Qualifications:

  1. Must possess or be able to acquire a valid Colorado Class “A, B, or C” Commercial Drivers license (CDL)
  2. Must be able to pass ICC physical and maintain medical certificate. 
  3. Must be flagging certified.

Road and Bridge Maintenance Worker

Logan County is looking for a Bridge Maintenance Worker – Full time individual to perform a variety of semi-skills and skilled field maintenance duties related to the installation, maintenance and repair of bridges; performs roadside upkeep and beautification.
 
Minimum Qualifications:  

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented with training in technical areas of road and bridge construction and maintenance;

AND 

  • Eight (8) years of progressively responsible work in civil engineering, road and bridge construction management or related field, two (2) years of which must have been in a lead worker or foreman capacity;

OR 

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special Qualification:
