Logan County Fair/Commissioners Office

Fair/Administrative Assistant

Logan County is seeking a full time, self-motivated, flexible individual to perform a variety of routine administrative and financial support duties related to planning, organizing, and coordinating the annual county fair and rodeo.  They will also perform complex clerical and administrative support duties as needed to expedite various functions, projects, and operations for the Board of County Commissioners. This employee will report to the Administrative Officer of the BOCC/HR and County Fair Board Manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
1.  High school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented with course background in general office practices and skills; plus, one (1) year of specialized training in coordinating events, accounting, general business, or related field.  Must know Excel spreadsheets.
   AND
2.  Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in coordinating events, administrative processes, and knowledge of various computer software applications.
     OR
3.   An equivalent combination of education and experience.  This is a Full-Time position, Health and Disability Insurance, Retirement, and Paid Time Off. County Clerk Motor Vehicle Department

Deputy Clerk I

Logan County is seeking a full-time, self-starter and energetic person with good work ethic to work in the Clerk and Recorder’s Office, Motor Vehicle Department. This is a fast-paced environment and high public contact. Must be detail-oriented, professional, responsible, flexible and customer service oriented.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1.  High school diploma or GED equivalent with course background in basic office practices and procedures.

        AND

  2.  One (1) year of general office experience.

        OR

  3.   An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Considerations:  Must have a valid driver’s license.  Must have the ability to carry heavy items and climb stairs. The pay range is from $16.1200 to $21.0836 per hour. Logan County Road and Bridge Department

Heavy Equipment Operator I

Logan County is seeking an individual to perform skilled working level tasks in the operation and maintenance of light to heavy duty equipment as needed to construct, maintain or repair county roads and service systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

·    High school diploma or GED.    
                AND    
·    Two (2) years of experience in operation and maintenance of medium and heavy sized equipment.     
                OR    
·    An equivalent combination of education and experience.    

Special Qualifications:

1.    Must possess or be able to acquire a valid Colorado Class “A, B, or C” Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).    
2.    Must be able to pass ICC physical and maintain medical certificate.    
3.    Must be able to obtain a flagging certification.

Logan County is looking for a Bridge Maintenance Worker – Full time individual to perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled field maintenance duties related to the installation, maintenance and repair of bridges; performs roadside upkeep and beautification.

Department of Human Services

Case Worker

Full Time position.  Performs a variety of full performance advanced level complex technical and professional duties as needed to expedite child investigative services in accordance with agency, state, and federal guidelines and laws.

Services provided include the following child welfare areas: counseling, parent education, case planning and management involving circumstances such as sexual abuse, physical abuse, child neglect, foster care, youth in conflict, and related manners.

Conducts inquires concerning allegations of child abuse, youth in conflict, and/or neglect in home or institutional settings, interviews child(ren)/youth, parents, providers, and collaterals and assesses risk and safety to the child/youth; documents the investigative assessment process as required in the State database.

Minimum education: 4-year college degree from an accredited college or university in social work or one of the human behavioral science fields plus one year required internship/residency.

Starting Salary:  $21.3517 per hour - negotiable dependent on education & experience.  Benefits to include:  Health, Dental, Vision, and Disability Insurance; Retirement; Paid time off (PTO).
