Logan County Buildings and Grounds Department

Logan County is seeking a Full-Time individual to perform a variety of working level, basic grounds keeping tasks requiring a wide range of abilities related to turf care, sprinkler system installation, clean-up, snow removal, and other related duties.  Apprentice level preventive maintenance of facility systema and equipment. General maintenance in repair on county buildings.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1.  High school diploma or GED equivalent;

AND

  1. Two (2) years of experience performing the above or related duties;

OR

  1. An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Department of Human Services

Department of Human Services Director

The Logan County Board of County Commissioners is currently accepting applications for the full-time position for the Department of Human Services Director.  Position to be filled by January 1, 2026.

 

Position Summary:

As directed by the Board of County Commissioners, performs a variety of executive, professional, administrative and managerial duties related to planning, organizing, directing, coordinating and controlling the development and delivery of comprehensive county-wide social service programs.  Ensures overall compliance with established federal, state and county operating guidelines and regulations. 
 

Job Qualifications:

Graduation from a college or university with a master's degree in a relevant field Social Services, Psychology, Business, Management, Human Resource, Public Administration and Eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience performing above related duties or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Compensation:

The annual salary range for the position is $71,960.65 to $98,125.53, however; final salary is negotiable based upon qualifications and experience and will be determined at job offer.  Logan County has a benefit package that includes a retirement plan, health, dental, vision and disability insurance, paid holidays, and paid time off.

Logan County Road and Bridge Department

Heavy Equipment Operator I

Logan County is seeking an individual to perform skilled working level tasks in the operation and maintenance of light to heavy duty equipment as needed to construct, maintain or repair county roads and service systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

·    High school diploma or GED.    
                AND    
·    Two (2) years of experience in operation and maintenance of medium and heavy sized equipment.     
                OR    
·    An equivalent combination of education and experience.    

Special Qualifications:

1.    Must possess or be able to acquire a valid Colorado Class “A, B, or C” Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).    
2.    Must be able to pass ICC physical and maintain medical certificate.    
3.    Must be able to obtain a flagging certification.

Bridge Maintenance Worker

Logan County is looking for a Bridge Maintenance Worker – Full time individual to perform a variety of semi-skilled and skilled field maintenance duties related to the installation, maintenance and repair of bridges; performs roadside upkeep and beautification.

     B.  Sufficient experience to demonstrate an ability to perform above and related duties;
