ELECTION INFORMATION:  
KNOW THE FACTS FOR COLORADO!

Colorado Revised Statutes 1-7.5-105 (3) The county clerk and recorder or designed election official shall supervise the distribution handling, and counting of ballots and the survey of returns in accordance with rules promulgated by the secretary of state. 

1-7.5-105 (3)(2) and shall take necessary steps to protect the confidentiality of the ballots cast and the integrity of the election. 

To ensure voter confidentiality and privacy of voted ballots Do Not:

  • Initial your ballot
  • Sign your ballot
  • Print your name on your ballot
  • Draw pictures on your ballot
  • Write commentary about candidates or questions on your ballot
  • Write in names on your ballot IF they are not a qualified write in candidate for that race
  • Make your own lines for candidate spaces on your ballot and write names in

Vote your ballot following the instructions at the top of the ballot:  Completely fill in the oval to the left of your choice.  Use blue or black ink.

If you need to make a correction on the ballot, follow the instructions at the top of the ballot:  To make a correction draw a bold line through the oval and candidate or question name marked by mistake, then fill in the oval next to the correct choice.
